Meet Marina Lang of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marina Lang.

Marina Lang

Hi Marina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started at the age of 10, I found my path or I guess my path found me. I was walking on 3rd Street Promenade with my mom and got scouted while we were briefly visiting. Fast forward a few years later I was in Singapore modeling in several catalogs. Then we moved to India where I got in to regional films, TV soaps, was a contestant on Top Model India. Next we moved to LA where I started on an entrepreneurial path, tried several businesses, produced over 25 productions and finally found myself going back to my route as a creative, by acting, producing and now recently singing too.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think the challenges have shaped me into who I am today. Moving to different countries and starting over more than once taught me resilience, but it also meant facing a lot of uncertainty. When I moved to LA, I had no connections in the industry—I had to build everything from scratch. There were moments of doubt, financial struggles, and times I questioned if I was on the right path.

Balancing my creative side with the business side has also been tough. Whether it was running my restaurant, producing projects, or now pursuing my music and acting career again, there’s always this push and pull between following your passion and managing the practicalities of life. But every struggle has been a lesson, and it’s made every success that much sweeter. I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I consider myself a storyteller at heart. Whether it’s through singing, acting, writing, or producing, my work is about creating connections and inspiring emotions. I’ve worn many hats over the years—actress, model, producer, entrepreneur—but right now, I’m focused on my journey as a singer and rebuilding my acting career.

What sets me apart is my multicultural background and life experiences. Being German and Indian, and having lived in five different countries, I’ve been exposed to so many different cultures, perspectives, and styles. I think that diversity naturally shapes my art and makes it unique.

I’m most proud of my pilot and upcoming music video—both are stories that I’ve developed, shaped, and brought to life. They reflect not only my creativity but also my determination to tell meaningful stories on my own terms. Seeing these projects come to fruition has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey so far.

At the end of the day, my work is about authenticity. I want people to feel something, to connect, and to walk away inspired. That’s what keeps me going.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
The Covid-19 crisis taught me the importance of adaptability and the value of slowing down. Like many people, my plans were turned upside down, and I had to pivot in ways I didn’t expect. It pushed me to get creative with how I approached my work and made me realize the importance of having multiple outlets for my creativity.

It also reminded me to appreciate the simple things—spending time with loved ones, and really being present in the moment.

Above all, it showed me that resilience is everything. Even in uncertainty, I found ways to grow and build, and that’s a lesson I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life
