Today we’d like to introduce you to Geraldine Moreno.
Hi Geraldine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a Latina internet personality, comedian actress. Won LA Fashion Magazine’s model competition and was featured in a spread with Gigi Hadid. Currently stars in Amazon Prime’s “Chosen Kin” and the film “El Chicano” with George Lopez. Recently booked a lead role as Rosario for a pilot that is in the works for universal. I also stream worldwide on Bigo & liKee. I have become lIKEe’s top creator & have hit over 9 million views on TikTok.
How I started was working in music videos with Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, j Cole, & more.
I started to build my resume, social media, and networking. I would NEVER say no to a gig even if I did not know what I was doing. I started to build a great network and experience in the entertainment, I also signed up with all the extra castings out in la for background work in Hollywood. That defiantly got me a lot of experience from background work to stand in roles and now principle roles.
Now I have my manager, agency, acting demo reel, resume & currently taking acting classes.
I got my own apartment a little under a year now. I have built a following on Instagram over 166k and that has helped me work from home, I became a content creator in the social media world. Currently working on my YouTube channel and now I have my own cocktail drink in a restaurant & more.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Noting has been easy for me. I would sleep in my car and shower in la fitness to get to my next gig or booking since I lived so far away I could not be driving from Riverside to Los Angeles all the time. It was also very hard because my parents were not supportive and I would get back home super late or in the am from overworking 12hrs gigs. Also, I never knew of anyone in my family or friends who were in the entertainment so I had to learn everything on my own.
I have booked gigs where I was filming and my part never aired.
It’s not an easy journey but defiantly worth it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an actress content creator for social media/brand deals streamer on bigo & likee, I also work for the state full time helping people with their taxes and Edd unemployment. I am most proud of having my own apartment in LA being able to be financially stable also working in what I love to do and having such a great team behind me.
I am known for making people laugh creating comedy content and on YouTube, also for always being on set and TV movies, commercial shows, what sets me apart from others is my working ethic skills, discipline, hard worker, committed. & I don’t care what people think. No excuses, I can do it all.
What’s next?
My future goal is to create my own hot sauce line, book a lead role in a movie and tv show.
I am currently in the works of my new YouTube channel that will take off.
I am also working on auditioning for huge films and tv shows.
