Today we’d like to introduce you to TravQue. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Most known as “TravQue,” Travis Thompson was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. When he was only two years old, his mother sent him to live in Jamaica in hopes that the Caribbean influence and culture would instill life-long principles and values in him. This upbringing was vital to Travis’ foundation. At a very young age, he acquired technological skills that caused him to stand out among his peers. By the age of 11, he had stellar video editing skills that had only advanced throughout the years.
When it came time to attend college, Travis decided to follow in his parent’s footsteps and pursue a career in the health field. He graduated from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in health science. He then went on to graduate school at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. During his first semester, a professor’s life-changing advice inspired Travis to follow his heart and work in the entertainment industry.
TravQue is now best known for its sensational videos on social media that have gone viral numerous times across platforms – some of which have reached over 100 million views. He also starred in the BET original film, “Swag Inc”.
Travis plans to continue creating content that fans will love, grow in the entertainment industry, and land more roles that resonate with his audiences. He lives by the motto, “Stay Humble, Stay Working,” which is exactly what he plans to do.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s never a smooth road. You will be met with many obstacles and challenges, but this where you learn your biggest lessons. I’ve always told myself; it won’t last if it happens fast. Meaning, don’t depend on overnight success. Some of my early struggles came with finding my niche and getting people to understand the my type of content. My first viral video was on Vine. I had people who I personally knew telling me that I need to stop because me creating content wasn’t going to get me anywhere. Fast forward a couple years, and I realized they were all wrong. I stood by my beliefs and didn’t let anyone’s thoughts or perception of me get in my way. I continued on with my journey, and I’m happy I didn’t quit. It has opened many doors for me, given me many opportunities, and allowed me to meet some of the greatest people.

I’m an actor, comedian, and content creator from Brooklyn. NY, who currently resides in LA. I am known for my films and viral videos on various social media platforms. I’m starring in a film called “Swag Inc” which is featured on BET. What sets me apart from others is my uniqueness and ability to create timeless content.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The characteristic I feel is most important to my success is the motto/mantra that I live by, which is “Stay Humble, Stay Working. I believe living by this motto has helped me stay focused and continue to elevate my brand. You attract the right energy when you stay humble, and you can’t lose if you’re working. I encourage everyone to stay humble, stay working, and keep striving for greatness.
