Daily Inspiration: Meet Kimberly Quintana

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Quintana.

Kimberly Quintana

Hi Kimberly, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my journey as a model & micro-influencer when I was creating content for my YouTube channel. While my channel was based on makeup, I slowly started to incorporate my mini podcasts called LadyBug Notes and clothing hauls! I was really just looking for my niche! When I started to collaborate with photographers, that’s when I tapped into the modeling world. At first, it was photography collaborations; then it was creating content with photographers for the companies I started to work with as a content creator…… UNTIL, I was doing paid photoshoots, and paid collaborations with clothing boutiques, and I gained recognition with other brands to model for their clothes. It was all tied together. It went from YouTube to social media! I am so grateful for all those who SEE ME 👀 & my work!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not a smooth road at all!! Starting from 500 followers, creating content myself, and using DIY lighting was not easy! A lot of weekends were meant to create content because I worked and went to school during the week. Many weekends I did not spend with friends or family. Although I loved creating content, having DIY lighting and sharing a room with my sister made shooting videos a longer process. Once I started my Master’s Program, it became harder to keep up with editing or shooting.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am known for Fashion and modeling! Styling outfits is what I specialize as a creative! Showcasing my fashion in modeling is what I am proud of. It’s gotten me paid collaborations and even some publications. What I am most proud of is that through my busy schedule, I still keep on creating! I would say my work as a model sets me apart! Over the years, I have picked up on modeling poses, angles, and lighting. It showcases my wardrobe better!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is every Sunday, my family and I would make sandwiches and pick a new park to hang out in. Then we’d come back home and binge on movies!
